- To the island of Old Men.
The duration of this sea excursion is 5 hours and 30 minutes.
A boat trip in Kamchatka is held in the warm season, that is, from about mid-April to the end of October.
The above-mentioned piece of land is located in the Pacific Ocean. The distance to the entrance to Avacha Bay is 12 km, while Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky is 30 km away. Coastal rocks and reefs surrounding the island of Old Men can be seen only during low tide. Despite its inherent small area (0.5 km2), it is a natural monument. On its elevations, you can find representatives of more than 10 species of seabirds, which include moevki, hatchets, gulls, cormorants, etc. As for the coastal reefs, seals are placed on them. Sometimes killer whales are found in coastal waters. Not only the well–known salmon lives here, but also the sea bull, lenok, perch, flounder, etc. live here.
On the way to the final finish, you will meet such interesting places as the Quiet and Grotto Bays, the Devil’s Finger and Three Brothers rocks, the island of Babushkin Kamen.
The gathering of tourists takes place near the sea station (on the Station Square).
Sometimes bad weather is set in the described locations, so the tour route may undergo changes. It should be borne in mind that in the event of a storm, the tour may be canceled altogether.
- To the Russian Bay.
In this case, tourists, as a rule, manage to look at such marine mammals as whales, seals, killer whales, sea otters and sea lions.
There will also be a culinary component (for example, a seafood lunch, which includes local crabs).
Everyone can take part in an exciting fishing trip.
The route originates in Avacha Bay. Then a special yacht moves in a southerly direction along the coast of the Kamchatka Peninsula, simultaneously bypassing all the places where killer whales and whales are most often noticed. The finish line is Cape Kekurny, located near the entrance to Russian Bay. In this place there is a rookery of sea lions. Currently, the colony of these animals has about 100 individuals.
Exits, as a rule, start between 7 and 9 o’clock.
